Independent planning information

MyStreet is an independent planning-information service, not a council, the NSW Government or an official notification or submission service. Coverage and update delays apply. Check the official record before acting.

NSW development applications

Development data comes from the NSW Planning Portal Online DA dataset.

© State Government of NSW and NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure 2021

The publisher describes the dataset as updated daily. MyStreet’s importer checks for updates hourly and continues incomplete imports in smaller batches. An hourly check does not mean the government publishes new data every hour. Map searches read MyStreet’s stored records rather than requesting a fresh government import.

Historical coverage varies by council and period. Exempt and complying development and other approval pathways may not be included. No results does not establish that no work is proposed or occurring. MyStreet cannot guarantee an alert before a consultation deadline, decision or the start of work.

Licence and processing

The dataset lists a Creative Commons Attribution licence. The official dataset page links to its stated licence and conditions; it does not specify a version in its licence label. See the publisher’s licence and attribution information.

MyStreet normalises selected status and address fields and calculates approximate straight-line distances between mapped points. A radius is not a surveyed boundary or an assessment of danger, impact, legality or property value. “Determined” means a decision has been made; it does not by itself mean approved. A modification or variation request does not establish wrongdoing.

The data licence does not automatically cover linked architectural drawings, photographs, logos or other documents. Those materials can have separate rights and conditions.

Addresses and maps

Address search uses NSW Spatial Services’ Geocoded Addressing Theme. Address matches and map points can be approximate.

Map tiles are provided by OpenStreetMap, with © OpenStreetMap contributors attribution retained on the map. Requests for tiles disclose the requested map area and technical connection information to the tile service. See the OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy.

Freshness and official records

A source record’s update date, MyStreet’s last successful check and an import that actually changed records are different events. We do not label the current page load as a successful import. Check the linked council or Planning Portal record for current documents and submission dates.

Corrections and privacy concerns

For a correction to an authoritative planning record, contact the council or authority identified on the application. MyStreet’s own display and privacy concerns also require review by MyStreet; contact MyStreet support. Do not post private contact information in public comments.
