The idea behind MyStreet

Why we built MyStreet.

A clearer connection between the places we care about and the changes being proposed around them.

Planning decisions can affect the places we live. Yet understanding what’s happening nearby can mean searching complex portals, finding the right application and checking back for updates.

We wanted to make that information easier to discover, follow and understand. That is the idea behind MyStreet: start with a place, explore the available records and choose what to keep watching.

Local planning information.
A little closer to home.

The problem is the distance between information and understanding.

A planning record can be public without being easy to find or follow. An address search should be a useful beginning, not the start of another collection of tabs to revisit.

MyStreet brings discovery, property monitoring and available planning information into one connected experience. You can see nearby records before deciding whether to create an account.

What we’re building

A useful view.
An ongoing connection.

Search an NSW address. Monitor the places that matter to you. Review recorded changes and use supporting evidence to understand what the available information means.

We aim to make those steps feel straightforward, whether you are checking your own home or another important location.

Our approach

Clarity earns trust.

Public records first

Available NSW planning records provide the foundation. Coverage and publication delays stay part of the explanation.

Control stays with you

Choose your monitored locations and radius. Manage available email preferences, pause alerts or remove a saved location.

Evidence stays visible

AI can make mistakes. Official records remain authoritative, and an interpretation must not be presented as a verified planning outcome.

What’s next

The direction is simple: make MyStreet more useful, clearer to navigate and easier to trust. New capabilities should earn their place by helping people understand available information, without adding confusion or unsupported certainty.

MyStreet is independent. We are not a council or the NSW Government, and we do not replace official notification, submission or professional advice services.
